She redeemed herself 75,000 Chase points for a last-minute getaway to Mexicobut her most ambitious Ultimate Rewards redemption was when she transferred her Chase Ultimate Rewards points to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

While she typically redeems Hyatt points for cheaper and lower-tier Category 1 and 2 stays, she recently decided to book a stay at one of Hyatt’s most luxurious all-inclusive properties: Miraval Austin Resort & Spa. The hotel offers a variety of wellness-focused activities, including sound therapy sessions, yoga and meditation classes; Food is served at Hilltop Crossings Kitchen and is designed to be soothing, healthy and nutritious.

Rates at Miraval Austin start around $1,200 or 57,500 World of Hyatt points per night, based on double occupancy. Each award booking includes a $175 resort credit per person.

Singapore Airlines A380 business class from Australia to Europe

Credit card writer Danyal Ahmed Points have been transferred Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer program so he can travel in style on his marathon journey from Australia to Europe. Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to KrisFlyer at a 1:1 ratio.

Back in 2019, he redeemed 105,000 KrisFlyer miles for more than 20 hours of business class flying. He flew from Sydney Airport (SYD) to Zurich Airport (ZRH) via Singapore Airlines’ award-winning hub at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) — all on the world’s largest commercial aircraft, the Airbus A380 .

Although redemption costs have increased slightly since 2019, you can still book this ticket for 130,500 Krisflyer miles per person per way, plus minimal fees and taxes, or just $84. With cash fares for this journey starting at $4,000 one-way, this is a great way to save thousands of dollars and travel long-haul in style.

7 days hotel stay in Hawaii

Associate points and miles writer Rachel Craft redeemed 105,000 Ultimate Rewards points (mainly earned from welcome bonus from Chase Sapphire Preferred Card) to book seven nights in Maui at Lahaina Shores Beach Resort by Hyatt. Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

While she admits it’s not Hyatt’s most luxurious property, hotel prices in Maui are often sky-high. This property is perfect for her because it offers beachfront accommodations and allows her to snorkel (with friendly turtles). It has a kitchenette, helping her save money on eating out for each meal.

Rachel saved $330 per night by redeeming 15,000 Hyatt points per night thanks Hyatt’s attractive award rankings. This gives her a conversion rate of 2.2 cents – the higher of the two our pricing Ultimate rewards and World of Hyatt points.

Sadly, this hotel is no longer bookable due to 2023 Lahaina burns. For his upcoming trip to Europe during peak summer, Matt has reduced his accommodation costs by booking Category 1 and 2 properties in Slovakia and Poland; they only cost him 3,500 to 5,000 points per night. He decided to “splurge” in Austria by booking a favorite TPG location, Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere, for 12,000 points per night.

Overall, he saved $1,012 after booking a hotel room for eight nights using 51,000 Hyatt points. Average cost per night is under 6,500 points; thus, he earns almost 2 cents per point from his Chase.

Since summer is a popular time to travel to Europe, it’s worth noting that he was able to save more than $1,000 on lodging over a week by using Chase points.

Promotional rewards for cheap business class flights to Europe

As someone who travels frequently between the US and Europe, Ben ranks Air France business as one of the best ways to travel to Europe. He appreciates the stylish in-flight product, delicious cuisine and great lounges. With cash fares starting at $4,000 one-way, he earned about 10 cents from each of his Chase points this way.

Ben is particularly excited about Aeroplan’s Atlantic region awards rankings, which cover countries from South Africa to Norway and Iceland in the north.

This allows him to transfer Chase points to Aeroplan and book long-haul business class flights for as low as 45,000 points for trips between 2,001 and 4,000 miles. He flew the route from London to Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) via Addis Ababa Bole International Airport; he flew Ethiopian Airlines to earn 60,000 Aeroplan points — all in business class — for the 4,400-mile trip.
