Rombauer Full Sister brings in $400,000 on June 2 OBS


Day two of the June 13 Ocala 2-Year-Old and Racing Age Horse Sale looked a lot like day one as session leaders on both days sold at similar prices each is 400,000 USD.

“If you look at the second dam, there are a lot of good horses there. It’s a very deep pedigree. And for someone like Mr. Stewart, who is buying mares with pedigree and horse prospects potential racing breed, for me this is obvious I think she is one of the two best horses in the auction and I’m really glad they got her and think she has a The future is bright,” McCrocklin said.

Her successful run in the ring before Thursday was in the 2023 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Sale when Mustang Farm paid $140,000 for her from the Gainesway consignment.

Brown Sugar is one of nine Cashmere foals. Six of those have started and all have won. Besides Rombauer, Tapizar’s Treasure Trove is the second largest earner with earnings of more than $500,000.

Also notable in Thursday’s session was Hip 624, one justification completed the consignment of Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds purchased by Tom Durant for $310,000.
