She continued, “I haven’t performed in seven years — 2016 was my last tour. For me, it was the last time I remember being on stage.”
Rihanna’s last full performance was at the 2016 Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The last time she sang on stage was in 2019, when she performed at her 2019 Diamond Ball. at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
“I miss it,” Rihanna said on the podcast, talking about performing. “But to come back from zero with the Super Bowl, it’s like that’s crazy. I don’t know what to think. It’s going to be a challenge and that excites me and I think that’s the real motivator. To me.”
She continued, “I just want to show a great performance and I want to enjoy it. I don’t want the pressure to bring me down.”
The singer also teased at least one special guest. “I was thinking about bringing someone along,” she said. “We shall see.”
