Rihanna brings Bad Gal RiRi to the spotlight on A$AP Rocky’s new single DMB She doesn’t appear in vocals–That wait continues. However, Rihanna starred alongside her bae in his self-described “slum love story” music video.
Nearly five minutes long, the new drop marks Rocky’s directorial debut — an achievement he told his Insta followers that makes him feel proud.
“Proudly 2 PUBLISHED MY DIRECTOR’S DMB VIDEO OUT!!! THANK YOU $2 EVERYONE FOR HELP & $PECIAL THANKS $2 FOR MY MOTIVATION & ROLE,” Rocky wrote from his verified account.
A$AP Rocky kept the lyrics simple, describing a woman riding a horse for him. And when they’re together, the couple alone inspires their movements and rules, especially when it comes to social acceptability. And if there’s anything we know about Rihanna and Rocky in real life – it’s right up their alley!
In the first sentence he raps,
“Share my clothes with my b**ch like she is my sis
I don’t beat my b**ch, I need my b**ch
Cleans my crib, she feeds my friends

But, beside the song’s bridge, Rocky leans into the wound of love,

And the video follows the same flow as Rihanna and A$AP Rocky enjoying the fast and high (literally) life. Scenes include drumming, drinking, parties, restaurants and even a trip to the hairdresser.
At one point, viewers see multiple re-enactments of the same scene: Rihanna’s character pleading for her rock star’s release from prison. Each time, the two lovebirds embrace and kiss.
The fast-paced montage slows down the scene that looks like a wedding. A$AP Rocky’s character reveals a smile that reveals ‘Marry me?’ spelled in the golden oven. Rihanna’s character returns energy by reading ‘I do.’ While fans return to this moment, multiple reports indicate that Rihanna and Rocky are not attached in real life.
