Review Hyundai Tucson PHEV, turn an electric G-Wagen tank, $ 5 billion electric bus program: Car News Today
We review the plug-in Hyundai Tucson. Mercedes’ EQG electric SUV performs a stunt that isn’t light. And the federal government provided some details on its $5 billion plan for electric school buses. This and more, here Green Car Report.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson Plug-In Hybrid fully charges in less than two hours and has 33 miles of electric mileage — or close to it, as we recently discovered in a first drive. In ours Review of Tucson PHEVwe see how it appeals to more shoppers than the Escape PHEV but lacks the rear-engine performance and extra range of the Toyota RAV4 Prime.
Mercedes-Benz has released a teaser video The EQG electric SUV shows off what it calls G-Turn. The EV prototype, which builds on the legacy of the G-Class SUV, is shown spinning in about its own length while — we assume — using all four of its engines. It’s very close to what Rivian calls the Tank Pass.
And the EPA has released some initial eligibility details for the first $500 million portion of the $5 billion school bus program. Aid will be prioritized to help “high-need” schools replace gasoline or diesel buses, while other schools are eligible for the lottery. The program will also help subsidize charging hardware — with the potential to focus on bidirectional charging for electric buses in the future.
