Retired visitor to study in California

Graded multi-stake winner Visitant, 7-year-old son of Ghostzapper , has retired from competition and will be attending California’s Arroyo Vista Ranch in northeastern San Diego County. He will pay a referral fee of $2,500 with a live pony stand and nurse bail.

The Visitant was a hybrid of Henry Williamson, who bred and raced under the name Williamson Racing. The foal that came out of the Peppermint Lounge mare race had a twisted sense of humour, who was raced by the late Warren Williamson.

“The visitor is our all-time highest-grossing thoroughbred stallion and leads all athletes in wins,” Williamson said. “He’s very versatile, winning six-way to 1/8-mile bet races with success on dirt and synthetic roads. He’s racked up many triple-digit Beyer numbers on the top. both surfaces.”

Trained primarily by William Morey, Visitant won his debut 3 x 4 at Golden Gate Fields. He was bet on the third start, when he finished second in the California Derby. He immediately followed up that performance with a win in the Alcatraz Stakes. Visitors go on to get four more black shares at Race Park. He also finished second in 2021 Alysheba Stakes (G2) at Churchill Downs. Visitant retired with an 11-3-2 record in 20 starts and earned $676,927.

Guests were from the immediate family of the 1st class winner Metamorphose and European champion Dream Well.
