On the day her 13-year-old dog was scheduled to be brought down, owner Julianna Lopez was determined to give her beloved dog, Boosie, a delicious last meal.
A Topeka, Kansas woman took her ailing Boston Terrier to a local steakhouse for takeout, where she ordered a 9 oz tenderloin, sweet potato and left a heartbreaking note: “Here’s the meal. My dog’s last ate. Do it with love,” Lopez wrote on the order, according to Topeka Capital Magazine.
Not only did the restaurant staff respond to Lopez’s message, they even included whipped cream to make Boosie’s last meal truly special. “Made with a lot of love!” employee wrote on Lopez’s receipt. “My condolences on your loss. We put a sweet gift for them.”
This makes a difficult day much easier for Lopez, who is grieving to say goodbye to her “first child”, whom she adopted as a sophomore in high school. . Boosie helped her deal with the stress of being a new girl at school, and has been by her side ever since.

According to Lopez, the older dog was really delighted with his last meal and even shared some of his doggie desserts with his canine family, which includes 3 dogs and his mother, Lucy .
“This is the most that anyone has seen her eat in six months,” Lopez said, “And that moment made us forget she was sick.”
