Forms of maverick batter Virat kohli became a big talking point of the end of the year. The former captain was unable to participate in the 2nd ODI because he was fired by David Willey. The most disappointing fact about getting fired is that Kohli made a good serve outside of the tree and he was therefore sent back to the stall after scoring only 16 runs. Kohli will not appear in the upcoming ODI and T20I series against the West Indies, and is now a former selector Sarandeep Singh has said he understands what it means to rest because Kohli hasn’t been among the races.

“I don’t understand what it means to rest? You can only rest if you are scoring 100 seconds. We can understand if he played in the last 3 months, scored 4/5 points 100, he he has the right to rest, and then he can say that he needs to rest,” Sarandeep told NDTV.

“Even before IPL, he played 2 Test games, didn’t play ODIs and T20Is. Then, after IPL, he didn’t play T20Is against South Africa. Sitting out and resting won’t get you back in shape.” he added.

Kohli’s last international ton came in 2019 and after that, the triple figure eluded him. The batter failed to pass in the Edgbaston Test and then the T20Is against England.

Kohli will not feature in India’s squad for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against the West Indies, which starts on 22 July.

Speaking of the second ODI match between India and England, the previous team was unable to catch 247 and this team was eliminated 146, losing the match with 100 runs. Reece Topley won six points for the home team.
