Sean Parnell has suspended his campaign to represent Pennsylvania in the US Senate, after a court order was announced on Monday giving the Republican estranged wife sole legal custody and primary custody of the couple’s three children.

NPR member station WESA Report that in the custody hearing, Parnell categorically denied those allegations. When shown a photo that purportedly shows a handprint-like wrinkle on his son’s back, Parnell replied: “It’s not a picture of my son.”
Both Parnell and Snell claim custody of the only three children. The judge found that Parnell was a “less reliable” witness, according to Washington Post.
In a statement Monday announcing the suspension of his campaign, Parnell said he was “devastated” by the judge’s decision:
“I really disagree with today’s ruling and I’m devastated by this decision. I plan to ask the court to review this decision. In that order, two of the top factors weigh heavily. in the judge’s decision surrounding me as the head of the United States Senate Candidate There is nothing more important to me than my children and while I was about to ask the court to reconsider, I could not continue campaigning in the Senate. Right now, my focus is 100% on my children and I want them to know I don’t have any other priorities and won’t stop fighting for them. Thank you.”
By decision of the judge, Parnell will have custody of the three children on three weekends each month.
Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Parnell, a military veteran, for the key Pennsylvania Senate seat to be vacated following the retirement of Republican Pat Toomey.
