Rehomed Deaf Pit Bull she will definitely return to the shelter again
Disabled animal shelters are the first to be overlooked. Sadly, they are also often moved to the top of the list of assisted suicides in death camps. A dog named Blu sits in the tent day in and day out. No one wants to bother her because she is deaf. Painful. Thankfully, there are great people, like Mark and his partner Sean, who seek out dogs like Blu, knowing that the odds are piling up against them. They heard about Blu from her previous owner, who explained that she had been with her family for six years before they had to hand her over.
When the pair arrived at Family Dog Rescue in San Francisco, they were told that Blu didn’t have a single guest prior to their arrival. Poor dog! Mark and Sean are taken to a room to meet Blu. When she walked in, it was clear that Blu was “vibrant and full of life”. If they adopt Blu, she will become the fourth deaf dog they own. The couple clearly have patience and huge hearts. When they meet Blu, they know she belongs to them.
Leaving home must be a very painful thing. They explain that they love Blu but they were forced to sell their house and move into a rental house that doesn’t allow Pit Bulls. Can you imagine how difficult that was for Blu and her original family? Now is the time to make things right! Blu has gone from being one of the shelter’s longest-running residents to being a beloved member of the Mark and Sean family. However, Blu is still injured.
Blu remembers vividly that she was surrendered by a family she loved. Although Mark and Sean will never bring her back to the shelter, Blu isn’t so sure. This is a choking story full of patience and lots of love. To watch Blu bloom with her new dads, check out the heartwarming video below. We are so excited that this puppy has come to where it belongs!
