Redout 2 has a release date and short trailer, limited to six players online at the switch

Redout is a title that aims to make its own twist on future ant-grav racing, reminiscent of those who like WipEout and F-Zero. It’s a reasonable endeavor, although there are certainly areas for improvement; hopefully its sequel will build on the potential of IP.

Saber Interactive and developer 34BigThings have now confirmed the release date for Redout 2; it’s coming on Switch and everything else on May 26, so it’s not far away. There’s going to be a lot of optimism around it, but it’s worth noting that the competitive online multiplayer feature will be limited to six players in the Switch version, half that of the other platforms.
