Red Bull Capture Point 2022 is over and what a competition it was! PlayStation teamed up with Red Bull once again for the second edition of this world-class virtual photography contest, and we’ve got incredible shots from around the world. Now, eight of the best photographers have been decided and will be sent away for a once-in-a-lifetime photography experience in New York City – read on to find out how you can join them to see the best! If you’ve missed Red Bull Capture Point, let’s get you up to speed. The competition runs from September 5 to October 30, with beginner virtual photographers tasked with capturing stunning, awe-inspiring moments on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 in Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7.*
The competition is divided into four rounds, with opportunities to showcase portraits, landscapes and technical prowess, as well as a final open category open to all entrants. The winners of each round are then moved into the Best Show, where four winning entries are judged side by side to determine an overall winner.
Eight countries entered the competition – Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chile, France, the Netherlands, the UK and the US – with the best virtual photographers chosen by our panel of judges, judged by our panel of judges. Head of the jury Mik Bromley was at the top. Mik is the owner of TheFourthFocus.com, a website dedicated to modern art virtual photography medium, is a UK-based photography artist and web writer and has joined Capture Point since since it launches in the US in 2021. “This year, Capture Point winners from around the world showcased their talents by making clever use of photo mode features,” said Mik Bromley. “Through careful composition, realistic depth of field and inbuilt light mastery, they managed to take advantage of in-game elements to create some detailed, stylish, and beautiful shots. eye.”
The virtual photographers who captured these stunning images will now be flown to New York City, where they will have the opportunity to recreate some of these photos in real life and receive professional photography lessons. . And on top of that, they’ll then get to see their creations presented in a gallery setting, while rubbing shoulders with industry experts.
