With the inevitable next chapter in the Witcher video game series now confirmed to be in development, you might think that players have completely found every last secret from the title The Last Starring Man. A game as big as The Witcher 3 must keep some secrets, sure, but it was five since it came out and surely it has been chosen perfectly clean, right?

Well, such a secret was discovered almost seven years after the game’s initial launch in 2015. Granted, the discovery was made in Blood and wine DLC, released in 2016, so it doesn’t rather already seven years, but still!

The secret itself revolves around a character called Vivienne de Tabris, who has been cursed to look like a bird. The curse can be lifted, but the cost is that Vivienne’s lifespan will be equal to that of a bird, which is seven in-game years.

As discovered by @xLetalis, if Geralt had to meditate for seven years in the game, Vivienne could actually be found dead in her home. It’s a rather amusing – if slightly morbid – Easter egg that shows how much CD Projekt Red has put the mind into the game.

The secret demonstration video can be viewed below. Phillip Weber, Principal Mission Designer for The Witcher 3, commended the discovery in a retweet; Previously, Phillip hinted at the secret in a corporate charity stream.

Did you discover this little easter egg in The Witcher 3? Which game secret do you love? Let us know in the usual place.
