Ralphie “Fire-breathing Devil Dog” has finally found his pack

After Ralphie was returned for the third time, the New York-based rescue organization received and reviewed more than 700 applications, spoke to dozens of interested adopters, and even mailed applications to Ralphie’s training for approval. But now, they Final feel that they have found Ralphie’s perfect package.

Every dog has its quirks, but the original Ralphie rescued was described as a “fire-breathing demon dog”.

While the puppy is indeed adorable, it packs a pretty formidable personality in such a small pack of puppies. Handsome Hand is described as a “devil dog” and an “official bastard” on the way to the rescue Facebook page. But adorable clowns also deserve forever homes!

“Ralphie is a horror in a slightly small package. What can happen to a 26 lb dog, right? We’re sure you’re thinking: my ankle will be fine. We are cautious – proceed at your own risk,” Niagara SPCA wrote in their Facebook post.

After being returned to third time, Ralphie was sent to a six-week training and boarding program. It was there that Ralphie was able to get over his “reaction to other dogs” and they realized that he didn’t need to be alone in the house after all.

In his new home, Ralphie will be joined by another Frenchman, a small Dachshund, a Jack Russell and a German Shepherd. His new father, Jason, is the only one eligible to be Ralphie’s human as both Frenchie and his Dachshund had a “history of biting” prior to adoption. Plus, he’s a professional dog trainer himself.

If anyone can handle anything this insidious dog can handle, it’s a professional who has dedicated his life to dogs. Not only is Jason a dog trainer, but he also gives his dogs the chance to run marathons and agility courses, plus play with balloons.

“Jason is exactly what Ralphie needs. He will give him structure, and provide him with an outlet for all of Frenchie’s energy,” the rescue said.

Ralphie’s new doggy dad made a whole Instagram and a Facebook page for the “famous” Frenchie. So his adoring fans will be able to follow all of Ralphie’s future adventures with his new family. They really felt that they had “prepared him for success” between his six-week training and choosing a new father with a lot of experience with “challenging dogs”.

“We wish our reformed little terrorist all the best and we look forward to hearing about all of his adventures. Will agility be his weak point or maybe he will beat his new brother, Cookie’s 5k time 36:06??? Whatever his next adventure, we know he’s ready for a successful future! Thank you to everyone who shared Ralphie’s story and who donated to help tame the dragon,” the rescuer wrote.

Fingers crossed that this is the last time this Frenchie will be looking for a new home!
