Puspakom offers free vehicle checks and prizes
With the upcoming Lunar New Year festival season, Puspakom has announced that they will be offering Free Voluntary Vehicle Inspection (VVI) for personal vehicles. The free VVI service will be available from now until January 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at all Puspakom branches nationwide except Taman Bukit Maluri (Kepong), Shah Alam and Pasir Gudang.
For the free VVI, one will have to book an appointment online at MyPuspakom. Puspakom’s mobile inspection unit will visit several locations from January 12 to 19 without an appointment. The locations are UKM Bangi, Lotus’s Kepong, Wisma DRB-Hicom (Glenmarie), UIA Gombak and Ayer Keroh in Melaka. The mobile unit operating hours are from 9am to 4pm and they accept motorbikes at certain locations – detailed in the image below.
The fact that they offer a free inspection is good enough, but Puspakom is also giving out some prizes to those who send their cars. Available gadgets include Huawei tablets, Huawei smartphones and Fitbit trackers, in addition to Starbucks cards.
“This free VVI campaign aims to help the public get information about the status of their vehicles, through computer-based checks. This is so they can perform proper maintenance before balik kampung Puspakom CEO Mohammed Shukor Ismail said the initiative was the responsibility of the company as a government-appointed vehicle inspection agency.
He added that the VVI will cover 25 areas including brake, suspension, smoke, lights, tires, color and side slip tests. He added: “In contrast to vehicle inspection provided by some companies, Puspakom’s VVI uses computerized equipment calibrated to the same standards as used in developed countries such as France, Belgium and Spain, according to international standards.
Here’s a good chance to get your car’s condition report – not only is it free, but you also have a chance to win some prizes! Click on the pictures above for details.
