PSG vs. Lens, updates, latest news from Ligue 1, match 17

After a disappointing 0-0 result in the middle of the week at home, Paris Saint-Germain will not want to renew any title’s hopes by dropping more points against Lens on the road. PSG are comfortably leading on the Ligue 1 table with 12 points ahead of rival Marseille entering 17th in 38 league matches.

Lens, currently in fifth place and 15 points behind PSG, was recently one of the challengers in second before running 2W-3L-2D sending it down the leaderboard. It still has aspirations of finishing in the top three. Second place will win a place in next season’s Champions League, while third place has a chance to qualify for the Champions League group stage.

PSG, already free of the injured Neymar (ankle), will give Kylian Mbappe, who starts the match on the bench. Lionel Messi will lead the attack with the presence of fellow Argentine stars like Mauro Icardi and Angel Di Maria.
