Pride and Prejudice: The Norwegian Glas Adaptation Becomes a West End Hit
In 2018, recently graduated actress Isobel McArthur was asked by a theater company in her hometown to write her first play. Glasgow’s Tron Theater wanted her to adapt a classic, and Isobel chose Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, a book she had never read.
Fast-forward three years and Pride and Prejudice * (*sort of) became such an oral hit that producers scrambled to get Isobel and her co-stars on a center stage London’s West End.
The BBC went to see the writer, director and actress.
