We talked to By GMC marketing director, Rich Latek, at Detroit Auto Showand he revealed that interested in GMC Hummer EV still extremely powerful. The number of pre-orders continues to grow, with a total of 90,000. Not only that, but people are following orders.
The number of 90,000 reservations is impressive, but what’s also interesting is the increasing rate of bookings. Latek said that in the past few quarters, the number of reservations is more than before. And, for reference, the bookings are for both pickup truck and SUV version.
Moreover, those who are doing Hummer Pre-orders are following after purchase. He says just over 90% of placeholders are converting their bookings into actual orders. He also mentioned that many of these orders were for higher trim.
The Hummer EV is still in the midst of an extended rollout. The final SUV will go into production in the first quarter of next year. The EV3X trim of the pickup, the highest after the First Edition models, going into production this fall. The EV2X follows this coming spring and then the base EV2 will launch in spring 2024.
