Power 18 Golf Leaderboard: Scottie Scheffler finds the top spot ahead of the 2022 PGA Championship

We’re almost two-thirds of the way through the 2021-22 PGA Tour season with a long summer of golf ahead of us. This marks the perfect time to reintroduce “The Power 18”, a comprehensive set of power rankings that differ from the standard Official World Golf Rankings.

Many runs have been made this season, from Viktor Hovland’s success in the winter to the current run Scottie Scheffler is experiencing this spring. Our mission is to balance the old with a new statistical performance, deciphering and predicting who might run for the 2022 PGA Championship next week.

For the longest time, some of golf’s biggest names have failed to make it into the winning column. The Power 18 Golf Leaderboard provides insights into how golfers are currently performing, benefiting their play in recent events. It’s a wider lens than simply what happened at the last tournament played but narrower than OWGR, taking into account how more than 2,000 golfers performed across the entire Season.
