Police arrest two men suspected of posing as police
Johor police have arrested two individuals who are believed to be posing as police officers and attempting to stop a vehicle on the North-South Expressway (NSE) heading north. This comes after the police opened an investigation into a viral video of the incident that was recently posted on Facebook by Freeman Gan WT.
In his post, Gan said he was driving on the NSE near Kulai around 5:40 am when he noticed a Honda City following him at KM27. Then he pulled over to a rest stop and continued his journey, when he reached KM37, he saw the green light flashing behind him.
Realizing it was the same City from before, Gan’s passengers began recording a video showing three men in the Honda City trying to signal Gan to stop. At the time, individuals were wearing a police high-visibility vest along with beacons and flashlights.
Not believing they were real people, Gan didn’t let the City get in front of him and contacted the police, who asked him not to stop and go to the nearest police station if he was still being followed. Arriving at KM71, he lost sight of the “police car” and stopped in a crowded area.
