Pokemon GO Alola Pokemon Coming in March
In February 27, 2022 Pokemon Gift, Pokemon Company COO Takato Utsunomiya appeared to discuss updates to the mobile game. The first is a Pokemon GO Alola revealed, having teased characters like Litten, Rowlet and Popplio. New Pokemon will appear starting in the game on March 1, 2022.
Only a short intro appeared during the presentation. It doesn’t show any Pokemon Alolan. However, it has come as a surprise to beginners in the area. It all started with a piece of burnt grass. This is a reference to Litten, the Alola region fire starter. Then one of Rowlet’s feathered arrows appeared. Multiple bubbles also appear, as a reference to Popplio’s typical attack method.
You can watch that trailer at the one-minute mark in Pokemon Gifts.
Ahead of the launch of the new characters, an existing Pokemon Alola will appear more frequently in Pokemon GO. Players can expect to see Alolan Exeggutor frequently for an indefinite period of time.
Prior to this revelation, Niantic added his first Hisuian forms to Pokemon GO. Hisuian Voltorb appeared first. Immediately after, the player has the ability to evolve it into the Hisuian Electrode.
Pokemon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices, and characters from Alola will begin showing on March 1, 2022.
