When I was young, I watched a nature documentary narrated by David Attenborough (I realize that doesn’t narrow it down) and in this nature documentary David told me heard about a cave. It was a very large cave, and every night a huge flock of bats came screaming outside the entrance. They spend their days clinging to the ceiling of this large cave, and all their bat droppings fall and become a towering pile of carpeted floors.
But then David said, look, the carpet is moving. And it turned out that the entire bottom of the cave was covered with giant cockroaches and centipedes. And if a small baby bat or an injured old bat falls, it will be eaten alive by this swarm of chirping insects. This nature documentary haunted me, because it was the worst thing I could imagine would happen.
