My Racehorse and Spendthrift Farm’s Iron works had a successful debut on January 8 when he crossed the fields of 8 other 3-year-olds to gain the special weight of a six-haired girl in Gulfstream Park.
Trained by Todd Pletcher, Distorted humor The colt was purchased for $550,000 at the Ocala Breeders Sales 2-year-old in the spring, where it was consigned by Mayberry Farm.
Racing under the leadership of Luis Saez, Iron Works was right behind the lead when the fractions were: 22.27 and: 45.13 in half a mile. Iron Works got ahead on the long turn and won the long run to take a four-turn win in a final time of 1:09.76 on the fast main track.

Glider breaks his first second at Gulfstream Park

Knocked out by Edwin Gonzalez, Glider raced in seventh, finishing fifth at half a mile: 47.61 and closing strong to take the lead in the final stretch. The coaster won 4 1/2 lengths in a final time of 1:41.14 on the fast track.
Lawn Park
Coach Brad Cox had a new winner on Friday when American hero performed the first test of a mile on an all-weather track at Lawn Park on my third boot.
Racing Racing Twin Creeks Racing stables, Ronald Ortyl and 4 G Racing, Organization The stallion took third place by jockey Joe Talamo before tenaciously running up the rope to win the gap in a final time of 1:40.50 on the fast track.
In the first two starts, American Hero finished the table in its debut on October 31 at Churchill Downs and then returned on 11 December to finish fourth at Turfway.
Bred by Twin Creeks Ranch, the American Hero is out of the way for Forest Wildcat mare Jehan, who also produced 2nd prize winning Pure Silver.
