Petrol prices in Malaysia hit all-time high – RON97 up 37 sen to RM4.70/liter in May 2022 Fuel price update week 5
Fuel Prices Latest in Malaysia – The Finance Ministry has announced retail prices for next week from May 26 to June 1, 2022 and next week records a new record high for RON 97 petrol in the market Malaysia.
While last week increased RON 97 was relatively mild with an increase of two sen from the previous week, the latest update shows a further increase of 37 sen to RM4.70 per liter for the premium petrol.
Meanwhile, the price of RON 95 gasoline remained unchanged at the ceiling price of RM 2.05 per liter. as per Malaysian government limits since February last year. Similarly, the price of diesel fuel is unchanged, remaining at RM2.15/liter for the B10 and B20 Euro 5 blend and RM 2.5 per liter for Euro 5 B7.
These rates are in effect from midnight tonight through Wednesday, June 1, when the next fuel price update will be announced. This is the 22nd edition of weekly fuel price format for this year and 176th in total since it was introduced in 2019.
