Perilous Mission To Capture Stashed Puppy Inside Sewer

Countless animals need human intervention in order to survive. In this harrowing rescue tale, rescuers with Paw Squadron were called when a passerby heard a puppy crying. When volunteers arrived, they followed the screechy whimpers, which led them to a sewer pipe. One rescuer got down on her knees and saw a white fluffy baby trapped inside. It was dark, dirty, and scary. The puppy was dumped there by a monstrous owner. She was likely dumped and crawled into the tunnel for safety. The woman’s heart broke for the puppy. She was unsure how long she had been inside the sewer and when the last time she ate or drank. She knew she had to act fast!

On her hands and knees, the woman made her way into the tight space. It was wet and smelled terrible. The puppy was weak and exhausted and hung her little head down. She was trying to force her beautiful blue eyes to remain open. The compassionate woman crawled further toward the pup and reached her hands out. The puppy wasn’t sure what was happening.

The rescuer didn’t hesitate. She scooped the puppy up and crawled back through the sewer tunnel. Now, safely in her arms, the puppy relaxed. The woman hugged her and told her everything was going to be okay. The puppy could let go of the trauma she had faced and go on to live a happy life filled with love.
