However, once again, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is offering discounts of up to 50% on selected traffic summonses in another special campaign, this time in Kuantan, Pahang on July 5 to 7, in conjunction with the Madani Rakyat 2024 Zon Timur Program event.
For drivers on the east coast, this will be a good opportunity to take advantage of a limited-time discount. The traffic summons payment counter will be open at the Dataran Sayangi Kuantan space from 9am to 4pm on those days.
As before, the discount will not be applied to summonses issued for violations such as running red lights, improper use of emergency lanes, dangerous passing and crossing double lines. Summonses for which discounts also do not apply include non-jig offenses, court attendance offences, truck-related offenses and amended emissions-related offences.
