Park & Ride at Ampang and Gombak LRT now using license plate readers – pay for parking with Pay & Go app
Rapid KL has announced that starting April 1, 2023, Parking & Ride facilities at Ampang and Gombak LRT stations will use an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system.
This is similar to Sunway Smart Parking whereby users are not required to get a parking ticket and can pay for parking using their mobile phone.
In the case of Park & Ride at the aforementioned LRT stations, users will need to download the Pay & Go app (available for iOS And Android device). Available cashless payment options include e-wallets such as Touch ‘n Go, Grab Pay and Boost; FPX bank; Credit Pay & Go; or credit/debit card.
According to Rapid KL, there are 1,260 parking spaces at Gombak Park & Ride, while the facility in Ampang offers 1,140 parking spaces.
