A Rottweiler, named Susanna by rescuers, was found lying on top of a trash can. She was so weak from dehydration and malnutrition that she could only move her eyes. Poor girl needs immediate help! Susanna gave up, but no one gave up on her!
Rescuers rolled Susanna onto a tarp and took her to the vet. Doctors confirmed that Susanna could not walk, but a CT scan showed no injuries to her spine or legs. Turns out her muscles were severely weakened from spending her life in a small crate. Aside from being in a crate and her current malnourished state, Susanna can barely move. How cruel!
Now it’s time to get the puppy healthy enough to walk! With hydrotherapy and training sessions, Susanna has built enough muscle to stand on her own. She may also take a few steps but then will stop. Despite her progress, she still wasn’t confident.
By the end of the video, Susanna is a completely different dog! The main lifeguard said: “’Speechless’ has never been a word to describe me… but I am speechless today.” The puppy from being abandoned next to the trash, unwanted and unloved, becomes a dog surrounded by kind people cheering her on!
