Boiled rice and burgers to reset his system. Add probiotics. Then slowly introduce him to a good nutritious food. The taste of wild, waterfowl helped my sensitive husky/shepherd. He was there for quite some time when he was young. Now he gets Kirkland Nature Domain red or blue bag from Costco. Both my husky/shepherd and my shepherd/shepherd do a good job at it.

My husky goes through the same thing. Took a while to figure out what messed up his stomach. Part of it is a heartworm medication. He can’t stand the chewy pills. He must be in pill form. Next, we had to increase the fiber in his diet. Yes, he is regularly checked for parasites. Like I have a parrot. It will be trial and error. Take time to figure out what you are allergic to. Try giving him something he’s never eaten before. Like bison, duck, venison. Gradually introduce in his diet. So if he eats 2 cups of one food every day. Do a week with 1/2 cup of new food and 1/2 cup of current food. Do this until you are completely new. It should take 3 to 4 weeks to introduce new foods. Also, give him probiotics to help have good bacteria in his stomach. You can boil burgers or chicken with some rice. If he doesn’t mind that, give him some plain pasta. Husky can be very picky. Purina Pro Plan for sensitive skin and stomach! Has struggled with this for so long and she rarely gets into trouble anymore. I also gave him probiotics but not sure if it worked. For a snack, I give her the Emerald Pet pumpkin dish.

I know that switching to fast food can cause them to have diarrhea. You have to do it slowly by mixing 1/2 and then gradually until you eat it completely. There are so many great foods out there just read the ingredients carefully. Also, water changes can cause them to have diarrhea. Pumpkin is always good when dogs have colic. White bread helps my puppy.

Could be a food allergy, I’m allergic to wheat/cereals plus potatoes so I buy cereal for free when I have to feed it crumbs and Orijen is the brand I buy. But he still eats normal home-cooked food and I have no problem. Hope this is useful.

Boil rice and chicken breast (or canned chicken breast in water) for 3-4 days. Talk to your vet, for sure. Let them know how many days you have been on the chicken + rice diet. They will probably give you medicine if the condition doesn’t go away in 3-4 days and test for any illness that could cause stomach upset. Observe what you are feeding your puppy. Any kitchen scraps? Stop it, it won’t help. If your dog is really sensitive like mine, they may need a prescription diet so your pup can digest the food properly. It could be an allergy. It could be many things. Your vet will be able to check and give you an answer

My dog is on VN Balanced fiber from Purina. Zoey is 7 years old and has had stomach problems since she was 1. This worked but she still has stomach pain. I have never been able to understand it. It’s prescription food from her vet

My boys do the same.. The only thing that has worked for them after years of seemingly trying different foods is chicken and rice purina pro plan then on the days off when they have a stomach ache, we make boiled chicken and rice with some pumpkin. All three lived to be 14 years old

You have to introduce food slowly. Ease it in over time. If you’re doing that, feed the rice and burgers several times until they taste better and then slowly introduce new foods. We use Merrick kibble mixes some of their wet food and some bone broth.

we settle on Purina A Digestive Health and a lot of our problems went away. It has a probiotic in it. We tried expensive foods and they made the situation worse. To help soothe an upset stomach, feed a few days of boiled white rice, sweet potatoes, and young beef or ground beef. Also check with your vet to make sure it’s not a food allergy.

My Sibe has periodic diarrhea. The vet diagnosed it as a food allergy, but I think it could also be ISBD. He received a prescription diet – Hills Z/D scientific diet, but I also add some ground beef that has been boiled to remove a lot of the fat. That seems to work. One question that needs to be cleared up is whether the diarrhea is caused by an infection or by some genetic factor, like ISBD or a food allergy.
