Our Fujifilm X Summit Live Blog

Fujifilm X Summit is here! Follow our live updates on today’s 2pm EST presentation.

Line X

Fujifilm says the X-H2S and 150-600mm lenses have sold well and apologizes for the delay due to demand.

The new X-Trans5 sensor offers 40 megapixels, the highest in a Fujifilm X Series camera ever. This sensor appears in Camera X-H2. The sensor has the highest pixel pitch of any APS-C sensor in the world, which Fujifilm says is on par with full frame resolution.

X-H2 can shoot 8K videos. Fujifilm is showing off a 48 square meter print to showcase its power and versatility.

(Note: this is one of the funniest presentations I’ve ever seen. Fujifilm offers a really fun experience.)

When paired with an Atomos recorder, you can record 8K videos.

Of course, the new X-H2 has IBIS, but it now supports multishot, allowing 160-megapixel files to be created from 20-shot composites.

The base ISO has been reduced from 200 to 125, and expanded to 64.

New electronic shutter can now shoot at lightning speed 1 / 180,000 secondsGreat news for users of wide aperture lenses.

The X-H2 shares the same platform as the X-H2S, including the viewfinder, body, IBIS, interface and accessories.

Notable new features include AI-based AF and HEIF file support.

Fujifilm is positioning X-H2 and X-H2S as additional agencies.

Fujifilm notes that the XF 150-600mm and 18-120mm pair particularly well with the lenses.

Fujifilm says it’s been preparing for this higher resolution for years, with lenses like XF 18mm f/1.4, XF 23mm f/1.4, XF 33mm f/1.4 The lens is especially well prepared for a 40-megapixel sensor.

Along with the previously introduced lenses, we now have XF 56mm f/1.2 . Lens. The new version uses a more complex design for better image quality, the focus group is improved for stable image quality. Other improvements include better bokeh and a closer focusing distance (50 cm) for increased versatility.

It’s interesting to see 40 megapixels in a smaller format. It’s traditionally full range of frames or more. It will definitely open up System X to more users.

The second round of the GFX Sponsorship Program is here. There will be five guest judges to choose the final round. Applications are open starting today until November 30. Visit fujifilm-x.com for more.

Medium Format

Now come GF 20-35mm f/4. This is sure to be a popular lens. Provides a 16-28mm full frame equivalent, making it the perfect lens for landscape photographers, many of whom already use GFX systems.
