Ohio State head coach Harry Miller medically retires from football, citing mental health reasons
Ohio State people in line to attack Harry Miller announced that he would be retiring from football on Thursday, and shared that he intends to take his own life before the 2021 season.
Miller, a fourth-year Buckeyes player, said he informed head coach Ryan Day of his suicidal intentions and Day immediately contacted medical professionals to seek help. .
Miller was absent from this year’s spring practice sessions and was deemed absent a few days ago without explanation. He shared the reason behind his decision to retire in a detailed statement on social media.

After meeting with medical professionals, Miller said he tried to return to football while covering scars on his wrists and throat with duct tape.
“At the time, I’d rather die than be a coward. I’d rather be nothing than explain everything that’s wrong,” he said. “I was planning to drop my initials on the back of my helmet. I’ve seen people seek help before. I’ve seen the age-old adage about how our generation works. softened by the second time, but I can tell you my skin was tough.”
Miller, a student at Ohio State Technical College with a 4.0 GPA, will continue her education. He said in a statement that Day is also looking for ways for Miller to help other players on the show who may be dealing with mental health issues.
