The other team running, the Patriots, was hot after he, Bill Belichick, personally called Beckham to try and bring him to New England.
“I don’t think I joked with him on the phone,” Beckham said. “But I think, if this were three years ago, it would have been ideal. Because Tom (Brady) is one of those – he’s one of my favorites.”

Beckham’s attraction to New Orleans is understandable – he’s a native of Louisiana and attended LSU. His decision to overtake the Saints is also understandable, as they have been dealing with QB issues all season.
In the end, Beckham signed with Los Angeles, expressing his desire to play on the West Coast and for a competitive team.
With Mac Jones having a good rookie campaign under the Belichick and Patriots, if Hoodie calls in a few months, maybe Beckham will listen a little more attentively.
