Ocala Breeders’ Sales released a catalog for its spring sale for 2-year-olds in training, including a total of 1,221 chicks included in the four-day sale from April 25-28. All sessions will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET.
The top graduates from this sale include graded/group 1 winners And Tell Me Nolies , Colonel Liam , national grammar And line icon along with classified stake winners Arab Knights And Havnamemeldown .
Peter Redekop BC’s And Tell Me Nolies won Del Mar Debutante (G1) and Chandelier Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita . Park after Arrogate’s daughter was sold by Off the Hook as an agent in 2022 for $230,000.
Gulfstream Park‘s Shares invited on the field of Pegasus World Cup (G1). The son of Map of Liam , coached by Todd Pletcher, retired with four graded bet wins, 12-7-0-1 career record and $1,812,565 earnings. He sold at OBS in 2019 for $1.2 million from a shipment of Wavertree Stables by Ciaran Dunne.
Country Grammer is a four-times classified bet winner, with wins at the Dubai World Cup (G1) and Hollywood Gold Cup (G1). He also finished second in the recent Saudi Cup (G1). 6 year old son of tone artist was purchased for $450,000 by Purebred Bradley as dealer, from Wavertree shipment in 2019.
Prince Saud Bin Salman Abdulaziz’s Emblem Road won the 2022 Saudi Arabia Cup (G1) and finished third at the 2023 Dubai World Cup (G1). The son of Quality Sugar was consigned for the OBS Spring Sale 2020 by Wavertree as an agent and purchased for $80,000 by dealer Bruno DeBerdt.
Arab Knights roam the Southwest Area at Oaklawn . Park
Zedan Racing Stables Arabian Knights is two vs two and is the winner of the graded bets after taking the Southwest Bet (G3) at Oaklawn Park in January and is being assigned for a summer campaign. 3 year old pony of Uncle Mo , Bob Baffert trained, has made $544,275 to date. At the OBS Spring 2022 sale, he was purchased for a peak of $2.3 million by Gary Young, on behalf of Zedan Racing, in addition to the Top Sales shipment.
Havnameltdown by Michael Pegram, Karl Watson and Paul Weitman is a three-times classified bet winner, scoring in Best Friend Stakes (G3), San Vicente Stakes (G2) and Bob Hope Stakes (G3) . OBS graduated twice by uncaught was first sold by Beth Bayer as a dealer, at the October 2021 Annual Sale, and then purchased for $200,000 from the Blas Perez Stables shipment at the 2022 Spring Sale.
