According to the Scots First Landing tradition, the First Ground Breaker is the first person to enter a household’s home on New Year’s Day and is considered the bringer of good luck for the coming year. In that spirit, the Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) today announced its first Footstep Silent Auction, sponsored by OCD Pellets, open for bidding starting at 9:00 AM EST today. December 30.
Featuring horseshoes worn by some of the race’s most elite stars, riding boots and some additional unique items, the First Footing Silent Auction will begin fundraising for RRP in 2023 and support this organization’s mission to increase demand for Thoroughbreds in the post-race career.
