A North Carolina mother was gored to death by two bulls last week, just days after her mother told her to stop following the dogs.

Minutes later, neighbors said they heard Peed’s cry for help before witnessing the dog’s gruesome attack, shocked and horrified by a number of disturbing 911 calls.
“All I know is they… they put her in the dark,” said a 911 caller who witnessed the attack.
The family warned her not to see the dog just days before the deadly attack
In an even more tragic set of events, Peed’s mother, Helen Harris, tells WFMY that she warned her daughter to stop watching the animals just two days before the deadly attack.
“I understand it wasn’t intentional, but I was just talking to my daughter on Tuesday, and I told her you need to get that dog(s) out of your house,” says mother Helen Harris told WFMY.
According to WGHP, one of the gaurs was shot dead by police, while the other is currently under quarantine with Guilford County Animal Services.
Meanwhile, police say an investigation into who owns the dogs is continuing. Harris pleaded with owners who have yet to identify the dog if they loved her daughter.

“Whoever the owner is, they need to come forward because they say they love my daughter. Harris told WFMY.
Police have yet to file any charges in connection with the incident as of Monday, the agency reported.
Peed’s daughter, Waynesha, created a GoFundMe for her mother’s funeral expenses increased $18,205 of the original $15,000 target.
“My brothers and sisters, grandmother, family and I are heartbroken by her sudden passing. She has endured and overcome so much, most recently losing her two sons 2 years apart, both in a tragic car accident,” daughter Waynesha Peed wrote.
The attack was one of several that have caused a stir in recent months. Jacqueline Durand, a 22-year-old student at the University of Texas at Dallas, was killed in December in a vicious dog attack that was partially captured by police cameras.
Durand lost her ears, nose and lips in an onslaught of dogs she was hired to care for, requiring 16 surgeries, including multiple skin grafts. Video of the attack went viral after it was released by authorities in May.
In 2018, nearly 27,000 people had to undergo reconstructive surgery due to dog bites, according to plastic surgery statistics in 2018 Report.
Last year alone, Homeowners’ insurers paid $882 million in liability claims related to dog bites and other dog-related injuries, the Insurance Information Institute says. report.
