Norristown, Pennsylvania: A man was killed by a stray bullet while having Thanksgiving dinner with his family, authorities say

Montgomery County detectives and Norristown police conducted a joint homicide investigation and found that the shooting was involved in an unrelated dispute, the district attorney’s office said in a statement. newspapers.

According to authorities, the previous incident began when a 19-year-old man, his girlfriend and two others were asked to leave a Thanksgiving dinner party, and alcohol was later discovered missing. . The girlfriend’s cousin arranged to retrieve the alcohol from outside the 19-year-old’s residence on Basin Street, intersecting with the home on Arch Street where Palaez Moctezuma was dining, authorities said.

The cousin parked her car outside the mansion and the 19-year-old swung a gun so she drove away, authorities said in a news release. Multiple shots were fired as she fled, and the 19-year-old then called her cell phone and threatened her, according to authorities.

Investigators found seven bullets and one live bullet in the Basin and Arch Road area, according to the district attorney’s office. Using two surveillance video and bullet hole analysis in the window, investigators determined the fatal shot came from that shooting, authorities said.

According to the DA office, the 19-year-old suspect is still an adult and is considered armed and dangerous. His arrest warrant covers first-degree murder, third-degree murder and other weapons charges, authorities said.

Additionally, two other males were seen in surveillance video running from the scene of the shooting, authorities said.
