Modern Healthcare is accepting nominations for the Top Diversity Leaders award, which recognizes top diverse healthcare organizations and executives that influence policy and models providing care services nationwide.
Nominations are open for the 2023 award. The deadline for nominations is August 14.
What is the Top Diversity Leaders Award?
The Top Diversity Leaders Awards recognize efforts to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and engagement at the organizational level, in the community, and across the healthcare industry. The program includes categories honoring individual leaders from diverse backgrounds, as well as a category honoring organizations that make DEI an integral part of their mission.
Who is eligible?
Eligible individuals must be of color (Black/African American, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Latino/Latin/Latinx or multiracial) and/or self-identifying are LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gay/questioning or different sexual orientation or gender identity not represented). They must also serve in a senior executive role in any area of the healthcare industry. Eligible organizations include hospitals, health systems, insurance companies, providers, and other organizations operating in the healthcare sector.
How much does each nomination cost?
The nomination fee for individuals and organizations is $150. You can nominate an organization and an individual from that organization or multiple individuals from the same organization, but each must be a separate entry with its own nomination fee. Payment is not guaranteed as an honoree.
What nomination documents are required?
Nominees must submit a summary of the nominee’s efforts to advance DEI, which may include building a more diverse C-suite/workforce that addresses equity. health/social determinants of health, lead DEI programs, act as mentors, etc. A current CV/resume and portrait is required for candidates individual. Nominees are encouraged to submit up to five supporting documents such as letters of recommendation, articles and case studies that demonstrate the nominee’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
When is the nomination deadline?
Nominations for the 2023 Top Diversity Leader Award must be submitted by August 14 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
When will the honorees be announced?
The list of honorees will be announced on October 14 on ModernHealthcare.com. Honorees will also be recognized in the October 16, 2023 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine and at the December 7 Top Diversity Leaders Awards Gala in Chicago.
