No paid posts in Telegram on iPhone! You can thank Apple for that

Telegram blocked creator payments through third-party apps shortly after Apple discovered the anomaly. Know everything.

Apple want full control over all app payments on it iOS This ecosystem and policy has claimed an easy way for Telegram content creators. Telegram, the Whatsapp alternative messaging app with its own subscription ecosystem and services, has been forced to withdraw the option to allow creators to pay via third-party payment systems. Seems like a rerun of the controversy Epic game The story has been going on for a few years now! However, no such restriction exists for Android users yet!

Telegram already allows content creators to use a separate payment system that is different from Apple’s. The system allows creators to set their own prices and let fans support them directly. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov said that creators received almost 100% of what subscribers paid. However, with Apple Jumping in and applying App Store guidelines, the Cupertino-based iPhone maker will now commit to 30%, like it does with all other app developers.

Telegram Apple’s tax face!

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was upset with the move, and he said the team had to take down the system to avoid the iOS ban. “Unfortunately, we received word from Apple that they are not happy with content creators monetizing their efforts without paying Apple a 30% tax. Since Apple has full control over its ecosystem, we have no choice but to disable such paid posts on iOS devices. This is just another example of how a trillion-dollar monopoly abuses its market dominance at the expense of millions of users trying to monetize their own content. I hope that regulators in the EU, India and elsewhere start to act before Apple destroys more dreams and crushes more entrepreneurs with higher taxes than any VAT due government collection,” he said.

However, Durov said that Telegram wants to work around Apple’s limited ecosystem. “In the meantime, we at Telegram will work to provide creators with powerful and easy-to-use tools to monetize their content – outside of Apple’s limited ecosystem.”

Apple always reports on adding 30% commission to all iPhone in-app payments. It is this rule that has caused Epic Games’ popular Fortnite to be banned from the App Store and involved in several lawsuits against Apple for the same reason.
