He said that while the government had in principle agreed to start targeted fuel subsidies this year, an implementation date would only be set when Cabinet was satisfied with the targeting mechanism and ensured that Target groups that will receive social assistance will receive it. Bernama report.

Armizan said KPDN will take a number of measures to ensure no party takes advantage of price increases for controlled goods once the diesel price adjustment is implemented. He said that the Ministry has approaches to address the possibility of price increases for essential commodities.
He added that a total of 28,000 trucking companies have registered and received approval to implement SKDS 2.0 and 90,000 fleet tags have been issued by the five major oil companies to qualified trucking companies. .
