Resident Evil has one of the most loyal fan bases out there, and fans of the series have been looking forward to playing their favorite games of the series on next generation consoles. Earlier this year, Capcom announced that they can do it, because they have free updates for Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
In today’s Capcom rollout as part of their summer news, they let us know that these updated versions are, in fact, available immediately. It was a pleasant surprise! Xbox updates will even be available with Xbox Smart Deliverymaking it even easier for players to update to the best version for their console.
As reported a few months ago, the updated versions mostly just bring us better graphics for each title. It’s great that a company has gone to great lengths to make sure their games look great, for free. Now go and download your free update!
