A new virtual exhibition on the United Nations website is called “ocean planet” showcases some of the incredible winning images from last year’s competition Contest in response to United Nations World Oceans Day. The annual photo contest is organized by United Nations Division of Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea within the Office of Legal Affairs (DOALOS) Cooperation with Global ocean and supported by Paneraiwith contributions from explore the earth And OceanX. The competition was curated by Ellen Cuylaerts in collaboration with DPG, the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO and Nausicaá.

The introduction to the exhibition “Ocean Planet” says: “The photographs in this exhibition represent some of the most powerful images received and show how photography can highlight the ocean.
