New prices for Salak Tinggi Park & Ride from July 1 – RM3 daytime, outdoor overnight now from RM7
There are new rates for Salak Tinggi Park & Ride for those using KLIA Transit trains to the airport. The new rates are effective from 1 July 2023.
According to the ERL, the daytime parking fee is RM3 unchanged, but note that the daytime parking fee applies from 4:31am to 1:30am. Meanwhile, the overnight rate is currently RM9 for the covered multi-storey car park and RM7 for the open parking lot B and C. Overnight rates are calculated from 1:31am to 4:30am. The previous overnight rate was RM5.
Overnight rates for the following days (4:31am until check-out) are +RM12 and +RM10 per day or partial for covered parking and open parking, respectively. For regular people like airline crew or airport staff, you have two options – reserved parking at the covered building for RM150 per month, or RM80 seasonal parking at open parking lot A, reserved for those who park seasonally. The ERL gives the example of someone entering parking lot B at 3pm today (Day 1) and exiting at 11am Day 3. This person will pay RM30, totaling the daytime fee on Day 1 (3 RM), overnight fee on Day 1 (7 RM) plus two days RM10. One can pay with a Touch n Go card – just make sure the card is not used at any other parking lot between the entrance and exit.
There have been cases the catalytic converter thefts at the train station parking lot late – Is parking here safe? ERL says that Salak Tinggi Park & Ride has CCTV in the multi-storey building and open parking lot A (seasonal parkers). For open parking lots B and C, “our staff on the ground are available 24/7 at each parking lot”. However, as with all parking lots, the operator is not responsible for losses. “Lock your car and remove all valuables,” is the warning.
Finally, open parking lots B and C will not be tarred. The ERL indicates that the surface has been coated with a suitable vehicular traffic.
