Neon White is coming to PS4 and PS5 on December 13 – PlayStation.Blog

Neon White is a lightning-fast single-player first-person action game in which you slay demons outside the gates of Heaven with pearls. It’s a one-of-a-kind mix of first-person shooter, platformer, puzzle game, topped by a social networking system where you can get to know your dead assassins.

That sounds like a lot, but in reality, it’s very simple: Kill every demon and get to the end of the level as fast as you can. Levels are mini-challenges built from the ground up to be rewarding to replay and optimize – this is achieved using the unique Soul Card system. The soul card is both your weapon and your ability to move. For example, the Godspeed card is a high-powered rifle that can kill demons, but if you remove it, you’ll do a forward lunge. You can take your time and complete a level by shooting demons, but if you want to get things done quickly you will have to sacrifice your weapons.

Neon White has always been about speed, so one of our highest priorities is performance. What’s important to us is that the PlayStation 5 version runs at 120hz across the board. When accuracy matters, a high frame rate makes all the difference. We also took full advantage of the system’s SSD to significantly reduce load times. It is important that restarting levels be as quick and painless as possible. If you want to beat your friends’ leaderboard time, you’ll have to start the levels over and over again.

Neon White also uses the PS5’s adaptive triggers to make each Soul Card unique when you activate them as well as when you discard them. The Haptics controller provides an extra level of feedback on top of that. You’ll feel it as you move faster across the water, and you’ll get a subtle confirmation when successfully sniping a demon in the distance. Our goal is not only to make you feel cool, but also to help you develop your sixth sense. To turn you into a speed maniac.

Before you knock down the pearl gate, here are some tips to help you optimize your level and win ace medals:

Let’s get rid of doing work

It’s tempting to stock up on ammo to maximize your damage output. However, your goal is speed, not DPS. So here’s my tip: when possible, your removal will move you and Kill enemies at the same time. Purify bomb removal can kill four enemies at once, but why not try jumping on it at the same time for a boost?

Target with gyroscope

Neon White supports Gyroscope targeting with a DualSense controller and I personally never play without it. The gyro targeting can take some getting used to, but it’s well worth the extra level of granular control when sniping the demons early in the level.

katana tricks

Neon White has some secret features that can give you an edge over your competition. White’s default Katana card itself isn’t strong, but it can be used to deflect multiple enemy projectiles towards them, dealing extra damage. Successful katana blocks also give White a slight speed boost, which is even more effective when White is in the air.

Tips and techniques aside, the best way to experience the game is to go in and try it out for yourself. Neon White comes with all the tools you need to climb the leaderboard regardless of your experience level. And if you don’t care about the leaderboard, just play the first mission. Trust me, you will be interested in the rankings.
