National Basketball Association

Los Angeles Lakers Super star LeBron James need 284 points to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for NBA all-time regular season scoring record (38,387 points). James broke the record for the most total points — regular season and knockout — in February.

James is predicted to break the record in the next 9-10 games. That means, without the injury, he could make his mark as soon as February 4, when the Lakers play. New Orleans Pelicans.

James, who turned 38 in December, was selected as the final No. 1 in the 2003 NBA Draft by Cleveland Cavaliers. Since then, he’s won four NBA championships, four Finals MVPs, and four league MVPs. He’s also been named an All-Star 18 times, falling short of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record of 19 All-Star appearances, and in 2022, he’s named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
