Nauticam is shipping Housing NA-E2Fcompatible with four models in the flagship Z Cam series of cinema cameras — E2-F8, E2-F6, E2-S6and E2-M4. The E2-F8 and E2-F6 boast full-frame CMOS sensors and can record up to 8K/30p and 6K/60p respectively. The E2-S6 has a Super 35 CMOS sensor that can record up to 6K/60p, while the E2-M4 has a 4/3-inch sensor and records up to 4K/160p.
Unlike Nauticam’s Case NA-E2 for 4K cinema camera E2 / E2C, using the company’s N85 port system, the NA-E2F enclosure uses the N120 Cinema gate system. But like the original NA-E2 case, the new case offers compatibility with Nauticam’s line of high-end optics, including WACP-1, WACP-2, and SMC-1 and SMC-2.
Like the NA-E2 enclosure, the NA-E2F requires an external display, and both the M28 and M16 baffles are available for HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 1.4 connections. For 12-bit ProRes RAW recording, you have the option to connect Atomos Ninja DRAW. The case can accommodate a Samsung T-5 SSD for recording and supports Sony NP-F batteries up to NP-F970. The NA-E2F also supports ethernet surface feeds.

Housing Nauticam NA-E2F
The NA-E2F matches the original NA-E2 as one of the lightest and smallest raw movie projector cases ever made. Nauticam has been a leader in cinema enclosures with products for RED, ARRI, Canon, PhantomFlex, Sony and now the Z Cam.
The NA-E2F utilizes the N120 Cinema gateway system, shared with other Nauticam N120-based cameras, allowing easy conversion to NA-E2F from other Nauticam N120 systems. The N120 system also provides access to Nauticam’s line of professional high-end optics such as the WACP-1/2 and SMC-1/2.
The Z Cam E2-M4 can be used with the Z Cam EF Mount or use the original MFT mount with the Metabones EF-MFT Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x Adapter. When using the Metabones Speed Booster, the user must adjust the mounting position of the camera tray.
There are 17 LANC control buttons conveniently placed around the case including dedicated iris +/iris, recording, near/throw focus, eND+/eND-, etc. 1/size mounting threads 4″-20 located on the top and bottom of the case for easy mounting of cinema accessories.
The NA-E2F supports ethernet surface feeds in lengths of 5m (orange pole) and 45m (studio). The Z Cam E2 series offers a variety of remote control options including live preview over ethernet. This opens up the option of using ethernet to light the adapter, then having an iPad or iPhone on the surface to enable total monitoring and control via the Z Cam app.
The case also features an adjustable handle with cinema-style focus and zoom buttons.
The E2 series supports the Sony NP-F series and NA-E2F batteries that match this compatibility up to and including the FP-970.
Like the NA-BMPCC2 and NA-E2, the NA-E2F allows internal mounting of a Samsung T-5 SSD as a recording medium for a seamless transition from shooting to editing.
The Z Cam E2 series requires an external monitor, and Nauticam offers several options for both SmallHD and Atomos monitors. To access 12-Bit ProRes RAW Recording, you’ll need to use an Atomos Ninja V monitor with a Nauticam Ninja V case. The NA-E2F has both the M28 and four M16 baffles that support both HDMI 2.0 (M28) and HDMI connections 1.4 (M16).

PATENTED GATE LOCK SYSTEM Launched on the first Nauticam DSLR camera case in 2009, this locking lever has become a hallmark of the Nauticam brand. No twisting or threading is required to attach the gate and it locks securely in place with this lever.
