MV Agusta Rapido Serie Oro is an e-scooter with Sport + mode

MV Agusta, supplier of some of Italy’s most powerful and race-ready motorcycles, is entering e-scooter part. However, it hasn’t forgotten about its legacy: the Rapido Serie Oro it announced offers unusual performance for the segment and a Sport+ mode.

Painted in red with black and gold accents, the Rapido Serie Oro is boldly dubbed the “Italian Battlefield of the Electronic Vehicle World.” Its design is sporty and almost motorcycle-like; It’s sleek, angular, and comes equipped with a round headlight mounted on what looks like a crank you’d find on a sport bike. MV Agusta built the scooter around a magnesium alloy frame to keep the weight down to about 44 pounds.

Power comes from a 500-watt brushless electric motor that develops 18 pound-feet of torque (roughly on par with a 1957 motor Fiat 500!) and reached a top speed of nearly 25 mph. It is capable of climbing 14 degrees and can carry riders weighing up to 220 pounds, although there is no word on whether it can do both at the same time. Despite that, it offers users four driving modes respectively Pedestrian, Eco, Comfort and Sport +. Each configuration offers a different level of speed, acceleration, and power consumption.

Maximum range achieved is 31 miles when traveling at a steady 20 mph. Recharge the battery The package takes about five hours.

Prices for the Rapido Serie Oro start at €850, or about $1,000 at current conversion rates, for what MV Agusta calls “the top birds”. If you’re not one, the Rapido will cost €1,000 (about $1,200). We don’t know if a sale in the US is planned.
