MotoGP riders go golfing and greet fans as schedules have changed again
MotoGP 2022 – Round 3 – Argentina
There may have been many schedule changes at the Gran Premio Michelin de la Republica Argentina, but nothing stopped the action from deviating from the track on Friday. One of the highlights is the Fan Zone, located right from the paddock, with a stage that welcomes the majority of the MotoGP net to greet the crowds… and there’s a crowd!
The action begins with an acrobatic stunt before the first riders take to the stage, with Alex Marquez (LCR Honda Castrol) and Stefan Bradl (Repsol Honda Team) up first. Championship leader Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP) was then joined on stage by rookie teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio before fans conducted a walk in the pit lane.
In the afternoon, 2021 Champion Fabio Quartararo and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP teammate Franco Morbidelli were back in action, followed by Jack Miller and Pecco Bagnaia of the Ducati Lenovo Team.
2020 champion Joan Mir and Team Suzuki Ecstar teammate Alex Rins hit the field at 2:30 p.m., ahead of Tech3 duo Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez, along with Pramac’s Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin.
The star-studded party continues with Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, before impressive Moto3 rookie Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets – MSI) represents South America and looks forward to welcoming legions of fans Brazil crossed the border to reach Termas.
This was followed by Factory Aprilia duo Maverick Viñales and Aleix Espargaro before Mooney VR46 Racing Team’s Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi closed the show in style – on stage at least, with more fun and a show Other free styles keep fans entertained then.
Overnight, it was also confirmed that after first being dropped from proceedings over the weekend after testing positive for COVID, Takaaki Nakagami is now fully clear and is on his way to Argentina to compete in the next round. .
Lucio Cecchinello
“Earlier this week before flying to Argentina, Taka tested positive, but a high CT value shows low viral load and he has no symptoms. Together with our medical consultant, we decided to repeat the test every few days. Nakagami has now returned several negative tests and will arrive at the parking lot on Saturday morning in time to initiate the follow-up action as agreed with IRTA and DORNA. ”
Racers catch up with a round of golf
A veritable demonstration of riders headed to the Termas de Rio Hondo golf club during a round on Friday, attended by Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta.
Defending champion Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) is on the field, with marked improvements to his game since he last hit the top in Assen, alongside the Grand Prix leader champion Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP), his teammates Fabio Di Giannantonio, Pecco Bagnaia, his Ducati Lenovo teammates Jack Miller, Alex Rins (Suzuki Ecstar Team), Marcel Schrötter (Liqui Moly Intact GP), Dennis Foggia (Leopard Racing) and Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS Racing).
Winner? We’re not really sure, but Sam Lowes will be the bet…
