A mother fox looks at a man trying to rescue his baby stuck in a drain. Wildlife rescuers can hear the cub’s cry and try to help it. His mother walked around in apparent distress. She did not want to leave her child behind.
One rescuer lay on his stomach and reached into the pipe, but to no avail. He cannot reach him. Next, they tried “pipes and insulation to push the cubs toward the entrance.” Their tactics worked! The man pulled the cub out by his feet and hugged him to keep warm. They need to clean him up before returning him to his mother.
While the mother fox was by her side as they rescued her cubs, she was no longer confident that her cubs would be returned to her. She must have thought the rescuers would hold him back and run away. Once the chick was clean, they put it in a cage and waited for its mother to return. Are they finally reunited? You’ll have to see for yourself in the video below!
