Capcom has clarified the compatibility of Monster Hunter Rises PS4 and PS5 versions will be available, detailed note on cross-save support. There will be no possible cross progress with the game. A rep confirmed this to Digital Trends after the initial announcement. However, additional details also note that cross-progress and cross-save will be available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X. How will cross-save support work meaning someone can start playing Monster Hunter Rises on PS4, then use that same save file on PS5. (Or vice versa.)
However, there will be some cross-platform compatibility when Monster Hunter Rises Released on PS4 and PS5. Crossplay will be available. So someone playing on PS4 will be able to go hunting with one on PS5. However, this feature is limited by platforms. So PS4 and PS5 users can play together, but won’t be able to play with people on the Xbox platform.
There are several confirmed exclusive features for the PS5 version of Monster Hunter Rises. For example, it will take advantage of the DualSense controller. adaptive activation will work with some weapons.
Monster Hunter Rises will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on January 20, 2023.
