MINI Cooper E and SE electric – up to 215 hp
While we saw the updated MINI Electric Resolute Edition launched for the 2022 model year in Malaysia during MAS2023 this week, the BMW Group is already in the final stages of preparing for the next-generation launch. of its iconic hatchback, including an electric version from the start.
Here are some of the first official specifications of the new MINI Electric. Unlike the current generation that only has the SE (the E version of the S), the new MINI Cooper Electric becomes more popular with both the E and SE models.
The MINI Cooper E will have a 180 hp electric motor powered by a 40.7 kWh battery pack. The more powerful MINI Cooper SE version will have a 215 hp electric motor powered by a larger 54.2 kWh battery pack.
Both models feature a significantly larger battery pack than the current MINI Electric Resolute Edition with a 32.6 kWh battery pack, of which 28.9 kWh can be used. As a result, the new MINI Cooper Electric range will have an expected range of 300-400 km.
The BMW Group also announced in the same press release that the new MINI lineup will come in three models – the Cooper hatch you see here, the larger one. countryman previewed and production version of SMALL PRESSURE which they showed off as a concept car.
